There is a wide selection of specialty coatings on the market, but what are they? Specialty coatings are applied on concrete surfaces for specific reasons, such as moisture control, keeping restroom floors clean or dust proofing concrete surfaces for both commercial and residential properties. These are some of the specialty coating services we offer.
Moisture Problems
Although we ourselves don’t conduct the moisture test itself, we can help if you have a known moisture. In most rare cases we apply moisture barriers under the coatings we install to help durability. Please keep in mind that these products have a limit as to how much moisture they can hold back and aren’t a solution in every situation.
Dust Proofing
A great coating for concrete surfaces in a warehouse or office with heavy traffic or any concrete surface you want to maintain clean. A unique blend of silicate and siliconate polymers that penetrate concrete surfaces and chemically react to provide an increase in surface density, durability, and abrasion resistance. Concrete floors treated with this type of chemical are dust-proofed, resists tire marks, and are easier to maintain. Over time, they provide an attractive, slip resistant sheen to concrete that never peels, fades, or wears away.
Quartz Coating
What is it? The quartz used in quartz flooring systems is made of quartz sand and calcium carbonate, which are very hard material and bonded together by an epoxy coating. Quartz flooring coatings are widely used in commercial applications and provide for a uniformly textured surface that offers increased traction where required. Definitely a great choice for public restrooms and commercial kitchens with heavy duty foot traffic.
